Back in the Saddle

Morning!

As we continue to navigate through some pretty challenging times, I wanted to reflect after being out of the business these past few months. Stepping away from the daily hustle and bustle can often provide clarity and perspective that is easily overlooked amidst the day-to-day.

The past 12+ months have presented their fair share of obstacles and uncertainties, but without being too much of a cliché, I’ve come to realise that every challenge brings with it an opportunity for growth and positive change.

Looking at the bigger picture is never more important than when the daily grind feels so relentless. It seems we're all reflecting on our direction, goals, strategies and plans, thinking about what’s working and not, and being honest, identifying what we could do more and what we could be doing differently.

The reality of the current landscape is that the unpredictability of the market adds a layer of complexity that we can’t control. As a result, forecasting remains as challenging as it’s ever been. Just yesterday I read about another well-established, reputable agency that has gone into administration due (largely) to a big client halting spend.
All of these things do little to build confidence. But despite the slightly daunting economic climate, the underlying picture does remain positive.

We continue to write and promote our content, sharing our point of view on all things brand. And it’s resonating with prospective clients – the last six months have seen us welcome more new clients into the fold than in the entirety of the previous year. We write what we know, but when prospects tell us they found it helping guide their thinking around the challenge they're facing, it's gratifying. It feels like Good's biggest secret, the content around the brand we created over the years. I'd recommend that you take a look at what our new clients found set us apart from the pack.

While we're all adapting to the current climate, staying true to what you are is so important. The temptation to change is always there, but you need to be guided by the values that got you to this point. And so do we.
